090224 - Rest Day
Ok so it’s been a while since my last post, my little one , 3 year old, got her tonsils out so I have been preoccupied with that. The diet swayed a bit since then but not too badly.
Speaking of kids and surgery and what not, Ann and I are doing a Fight Gone Bad Charity workout this weekend at Crossfit Naperville for Saints for Sara.
On November 11th, 2008 four year old Sara Martorano was diagnosed with Stage IV Nephroblastoma/Wilms Tumor, a deadly form of Cancer. Sara should be concentrating on doing what most four-year-olds do: attending pre-school, playing, and enjoying time with her sisters Mary Grace and Anna; instead, Sara is in the fight for her life!
While most four-year-olds will be going about their normal routines this holiday season, Sara will be spending her time in and out of the hospital.
Sara must undergo thirty-three weeks of chemotherapy and seven weeks of radiation treatments, as well as planned surgery, that may include the removal of one of her kidneys.
